An amazing book detailing "The D-Day ExperienceL From The Invasion To The Liberation Of Paris" it's perfect for the World War 2 aficionado, or for a writer needing to research details of the D-Day Invasion specifically. This book published in 2004 is full of photos, maps, report forms, etc.
Many of these items are in sleeves, so that you can remove them and study them. There are some detailed maps that fold out to full size as well. The text throughout the book is incredibly fascinating, and the photos are very illustrative of the campaign. There is also a CD titled "We Fought In Normandy", which has personal accounts from American, British, Canadian and German veterans.
The attached photos give wide-ranging examples of the book's content, including separate tables of contents for the chapters and for the maps. Note that the front and back covers are actually on the protective heavy sleeve that the book itself slides out of. (There is minor damage to the upper right corner of the sleeve.)
