Antiquarian Folio in part, ‘Die Architectur von Prof. J Buhlmann: Die Architectur des Classischen Alterthums und der Renaissance’ translated ‘The Architecture of Prof. J (Joseph) Buhlmann: Architecture of the Classic Ages and the Renaissance’ was salvaged in its tattered condition from a house under demolition. It has a set of 23 plates of architectural details of Classic and Renaissance columns, arches and other details, and significant Italian building elevations w/details. Each is printed on heavy-weight (card) stock about 13” W x 17-1/2” H. The plates are numbered T28 - T50 on the top-right corner of each. They are accompanied by a (incomplete) set of text pages (newsprint-type) in the same format, herewith numbered: (Front Endpaper,) Pages 30 - 41, and (Index: T42 - T50.) Plates and text were held in a cloth-hinged hardboard covered folio in that same format, with hinged flaps. While all the above generally are in respectable physical condition, with exceptions, they now are age-tanned, and in some cases stained and/or tatter-edged. The folio itself is now reduced to loose covers and flaps. All plates and text are in German. The endpaper has the publication date 1877. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
