Low mileage Allez Comp. Beautiful red sparkly paint with contrasting yellow decals. Too big/long for me or I would keep it.
Light, awesome handling, great climber due to the oversized top and down tube.
32 hole hubs laced with double butted stainless spokes, 3 cross. Rims are Mavic Open Pro 4CD. Wheels are round and true.
Rear spacing is 130mm. Drivetrain is 8 speed with a 11- 28 cassette. Cranks are 172.5 with 52/39 chainrings.
Saddle, pump, and stainless King Cages not included. I need these items for another bicycle. Included are all the original bits that came with the bike when I bought it in 1999 from a buddy. Down tube shifters (like new), NOS brake levers, size 44 shoes, two water bottles, one bottle cage, pedals, and the stem. Don't have the handlbar. Must have lost it in one of my too many moves.
Last photo shows the pertinent info. Please note that top tube and seat tube are both center to center measurements.
I've meticulously maintained the bike while I've had it. The tires are near new 27mm Challenge Strada with maybe 100 miles on them. H'bar is a Dimension ergo bend. New chain. I had the opportunity to buy a set of nearly new cranks with chainrings so I went for it and installed on the bike.
I went down once on the right side which scarred up the right shifter and put a small ding in the down tube from the front brake caliper. I put a piece of clear vinyl over the ding to prevent any rusting. Can be seen in the second photo. Left shifter has a small bit of abrasion from when the bike fell over.
Located in Sebastopol in my storage at US Storage. Used to be Southpoint.
