Less than 300 riding miles - used, but still super fresh! I built it to be my dream adventure rig and tackled the 125 mile Vapor Trail bikepacking route out of Salida, Colorado. I loved the dirt-drop setup (wide 55cm Walmer Bars) for off-road bikepacking. And the custom Trek 1120 racks make it great for loading it down with gear.
But I found through that journey that I don’t love MTBing as much as I love gravel biking. So this bike just isn’t getting the use it deserves! Can be ran without racks as a pretty slick rigid 29+ trail bike (same frame as the Trek Stache).
I had the Trek 1120 - size: LARGE frame professionally recoated in titanium colored Ceracote and the racks powdercoated light blue.
Other parts that I used to complete the dirt drop build and upgrade from stock:
- Curve Cycling Walmer Handlebar, 55cm
- PNW Coast suspension dropper seatpost
- Shimano GRX 11-speed shifter & dropper levers
- Shimano GRX long cage rear derailleur
- Shimano XT crankset w/ 30t chainring
-Shimano SLX 11-46t cassette
- Bontrager LinePlus 29+ TLR wheelset with 29 x 3.0 Chupacabra tires
Bike will come with all you see (minus the titanium fork racks and XT pedals), plus the Trek drybag holsters for attaching 8-12L dry bags to the rear rack. Happy to answer any questions and entertain any offers, as well as any questions. Thanks for looking!
