But I found through that journey that I don’t love MTBing as much as I love gravel biking. So this bike just isn’t getting the use it deserves! Can be ran without racks as a pretty slick rigid 29+ trail bike (same frame as the Trek Stache).
I had the Trek 1120 - size: LARGE frame professionally recoated in titanium colored Ceracote and the racks powdercoated light blue.
Other parts that I used to complete the dirt drop build and upgrade from stock:
- Curve Cycling Walmer Handlebar, 55cm
- PNW Coast suspension dropper seatpost
- Shimano GRX 11-speed shifter & dropper levers
- Shimano GRX long cage rear derailleur
- Shimano XT crankset w/ 30t chainring
-Shimano SLX 11-46t cassette
- Bontrager LinePlus 29+ TLR wheelset with 29 x 3.0 Chupacabra tires
