A classic rarity, here we present a Chicago-built Schwinn Super Sport town bike, professionally restored, tuned & ready to ride! You don't often see a fillet-brazed, forged dropout Schwinn such as this, the cream of the crop! Paired with it's chrome crowned fork, the bike sports Weinmann flat bar brake levers with barrel adjusters on the original dove-style bar, with original Schwinn grips, all mounted on an AVA stem. Brakes are Weinmann and Schwinn-Approved, with new cables and housings throughout. Original wheelset with tires, ready to roll. Drivetrain consists of original double cranks with a chain guard, with upgraded stem shifters and derailleurs, and new chain, allowing this bike to do one thing the originals never did well... it actually shifts! And quite beautifully! Topped off with it's original Schwinn saddle, this is a classic, quality bike to transport you around town or through the Bay Area. 19" frame should fit riders around 5'4" to 5'7".
