I've been in the wood business for over 40 years. Worked in a plywood mill during college in Eugene. Became a plywood trader for ten years after college, both domestic and international. SYP plywood and lumber, and eastern hardwoods.
Price is $135K for 80% with $25K down and $10K every 6 months with payoff in 36 months. I sell all on-grade items but specialize in mill surplus products and developed markets and sales strategies for hard-to-sell, not mainstream dealer products. Depending on my involvement 50%/50% the first year, 60/40 the second, 70/30 the third, and 80/20 the following ten years.
I want to keep working for 3-5 years and am willing to move. A great warehouse location would be I-80 between Sacramento and Sanfrancisco - huge potential and easy to go to Southern Cal. We ship throughout the United States. We would need a 5000-pound forklift and a delivery pickup with a16-foot flat deck trailer for central California deliveries.
I have excellent mill relationships for Douglas fir products, including flooring, paneling, trim, and timbers. I know the good deals, and I can buy as well or better than most.
You need to be knowledgeable about wood, sales, and marketing. I will train and teach you the rest.
