Louis XVI style Gilded console table dated 1900 - 1930.
The polished table top is a veined white and grey carrera marble ( no scratches)
inset in a decorative foliate frame. It is trimmed with a berries frieze and beaded molding that adorns the apron which is carved with corner block rosettes. It is supported by tapered, fluted legs also with block rosettes. The legs are joined by a beautiful and very unique caned stretcher undercarriage trimmed with vitruvian scrolls. There are two minimal signs of repairs outside of the oval cane center, where gilding was replaced which is reflected in the discounted price. Appraised at over $2200 ten years ago.
The remainder condition of the table is consistent with age and wear.
Reasonable offers considered.
