This fabulous Dutch Mid-Century Modern ceramic bowl with crackled glass fritte in the center is a very obscure and rare bowl marked Holland on the bottom. It is very much in the style of Guido Gambone meets Bitossi. The outside ceramic rim is the color of elephant brown with a dark green cast hue with a crackled ceramic glaze on the inside with a glass fritte center which is crackled glass. The colors of the inside are a beautiful turquoise green blue with brown crackle and turquoise green in the crackled glass. It has both the rough stone like exterior in ceramic with the refinement of the crackle and glass fritte. The yin and the yang. This is from the Netherlands from the late 50's. The original felt from the time period remains on the bottom. it is a wonderful bowl that rings history of ceramics with modern. In good vintage condition of Dutch modern with an Italian twist.
