Vintage Decorative Hand-painted Wooden Plate is from in-law’s estate. It is 15”-dia. x 2” H, with 9”-dia. base. It is predominantly in reds and greens, with yellow/ochre triangles intersecting a series of ornamental flourishes, repeating on series of painted roundels, culminating in a central floral element. There are a couple of indents on the face of the plate that are imperceptible except on nose-close inspection; none break the paint surface. The underside of the plate is rendered in a red aniline dye-type finish that allows the wood grain to shoe through. The plate has no is maker’s mark, lending itself to the folk-art category, an ideal wall- or room-décor piece. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
