Vintage "Penny Farthing" etching by Joseph J. Stelmach is signed, titled and numbered 106/375 in pencil, on bottom edge of etching. It is matted under acrylic glazing, in wood frame. Artist's bio and authentication label are on back. Mat window is approx. 14" W x 17" H; frame measures: 23-1/4" x 20-3/4". Label on back states: 'Collectors Guild, Ltd. certifies and warrants that "Penny Farthing" is an original etching by Joseph J. Stelmach, individually signed, numbered (106), and titled by the artist in an edition limited to 375 plus 25 artist's proofs. Collector's Guild label further verifies that this edition was pulled in sepia ink in 1977, and that the plate was canceled after the limited edition was completed. Each pull has been embossed with the Collectors' Guild seal." Wood frame exhibits minor distress inflicted over its 40-some years of 'hanging around'; dust-sealing tape on backer board dried, peeled away. Acrylic also has acquired some scuffs over time, but no damage to print. Etching is in respectable condition but could use some conservator-care in near future. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
