75th Anniversary Multnomah Falls ‘Benson Bridge’ (erected 1914) Commemorative Embossed Paper Print was issued in 1989. This print is professionally framed, double-matted under glass. The Falls is a tributary to the Columbia River Gorge on Oregon’s northern boundary. Local Portland OR artist Becky Gyes designed the print, which was professionally engraved without lines, without ink, on pure white Arches 100 percent rag printmaking stock imported from France. As such, the image is the artist’s impression of the oft-occurring winter phenomenon of bitter cold Oregon high-desert winds swirling down the Gorge and encapsulating the falls and surrounding trees in ice and snow, effecting a white winterscape. The print is pencil-signed and numbered (here concealed by the overmat.) The double-matted opening is about 11” W x 19" H; anodized ‘champagne’ aluminum frame is about 17-1/2” W x 25-1/2” H", wired, ready-to-hang. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, with cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
