Framed engraving ‘Pennsylvania German Barn III’ is by 20-th Century artist Joanne Piaac. It is hand-colored on woven paper, signed, dated, numbered ‘75/250’ in pencil in the bottom margin. This is a partial view of a 19th century fieldstone barn, punctuated by two large wood sliding doors w/circular fans. The top and left elements, a silo and roof, respectively, create ‘negative spaces’ that highlight the building stonework. The etched image is about 25” W x 17” H, the frame opening, 32-1/2” W x 21” H. It is mounted in a silver metallic-finished wood frame 37” W x 20-1/2” H. The engraving is overlain with a textured linen mat w/raised silver edging and finished w/clear acrylic glazing. The back has a dark paper dustcover w/felt bumpers and wired for hanging. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
