Salvaged old ceramic knob & tube wiring insulators. Prominent in the early days of early
electrical wiring from the late 1880s to 1940s. The round ‘tube’ shaped pieces were for the wire to pass through a hole in a board or space and the ‘knob’ shaped piece was for securing a wire along the side of a board or space. Although phased out in the 1940s as being obsolete, many older homes still have this kind of wiring system in them.
Approximately 150 pieces – 80 of the long tubes and 7 of the knobs. Various stages of condition as some broken or incomplete. Please see photos. Imagining as an art project or
some kind of interesting display.
Everything for $25.
