Inspired by a visit to Aix-en-Provence, a city in southern France known for its elegant, historic architecture, fountains, and vibrant street life, including outdoor cafes and markets. It is the birthplace of Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cézanne and I also visited his studio and some famous places he painted. This painting is of the area he often painted. Mont Sainte-Victoire, the mountain that dominates the landscape of Aix. The painting was not intended as a copy and it has more of a feeling than the actual landscape. Painted by Noren Schmitt.
He has had exhibitions in Germany, France, Netherlands and USA
