Pruned my cactus, clippings planted in ground. They will quickly grow roots by themselves.
These grow fruit...if you like them...lots of hard seeds inside....also can eat the leaves after you take off the spines...peel off tough outer skin...or just use new tender pads.....get some for free...and grow your own in a big pot or in your garden.
You can buy them at Foodmax, Grocery Outlet, and Safeway .... spikes removed...$.99/lb...some places sell the pads with the spikes too...
Dice, saute, eat raw, and use as vegetable in any cuisine..... Mexican dishes, soups. You can also use it in juice drinks.
