Cleaning up my two large variagated Americana and have some pups. Both become very large plants (8' to 10' or more wide and tall), so either for a container or a large space in your garden. The regular variagata is the prototypical shape for the americana - large upright central leaves and outer leaves that curl outward. Matsumoto has a less large mature size and retains flame-like wavy leaves even when large instead of flopping a bit outward. Both take many years to achieve full size, but are very dramatic.
