Old water heater for scrap (hayward / castro valley)

Anyone want water heater for scrap? Thermocouple is good because there is no problem with the pilot light. Tank is not leaking. But the burner will not come on. So the gas control valve needs to be replaced. On Amazon the valve is over two hundred dollars. Doesn't make sense to put that expensive of a part on a twenty year old water heater.
