Construction is an exciting and rewarding industry. It's one of the few professions that still offers people of all ages opportunities to live the American Dream. Much like an extreme sport, it requires commitment and hard work, and takes a team of skilled, knowledgeable individuals who enjoy working together and aren't afraid of pressure, problem solving or a myriad of challenges. At the end of the day, when you can drive by your project, point at it and tell your family and friends, "I helped build that," few things, professionally speaking, are as satisfying.
If you are a dynamic and self-motivated Project Manager with an electrical construction background, let's talk! We are a successful, established commercial electrical contractor, specializing in new construction, tenant improvements and service/maintenance work on an array of project types, for many prominent Bay Area clients. Our company is in its 37th year, and we care as much about our people as we do about our reputation for quality work. We have challenging, interesting work and you will collaborate with the best GC's and electrical construction professionals in the industry. Most importantly, this position offers an opportunity to become a leader of our firm.
If you have a:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering
- OR significant field experience at Foreman level
- OR electrical construction field and management experience
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
You might be the person we're looking for. We need a Project Manager with the following qualifications.
. Experience with electrical commercial construction and the ability to manage your project and team, from estimating and qualification through design, scheduling, meetings and communications, budget control, troubleshooting and completion. The ability to plan, think creatively, prioritize workflow and meet deadlines are critical to both your projects, your team and your success. We are a design-build contractor, that knowledge is a bonus but not a requirement as long as you are willing to learn the delivery method.
. Working knowledge of NEC, CEC, Cal OSHA and local jurisdiction codes, or know how to quickly find the information. Title 24 experience and LEED training a bonus.
. A "Safety First" attitude, with commitment to your entire team for working safely and professionally on busy jobsites.
. Ability to interface amicably with all aspects of our business, while allowing humor and compromise to guide your customer service attitude. We work with integrity, and believe that communicating issues or concerns as they occur are crucial to maintaining client confidence.
. Be motivated, dependable, take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and strive to meet deadlines in a hectic but fun and casual environment.
If interested and QUALIFIED, please reply with your resume. Applicants with no related electrical construction experience will not receive a response.
