Vince’s Landscaping, Inc. is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead
residential landscape construction projects throughout the Bay Area.
This is a field leadership position for someone who understands landscape construction, can
manage a crew, communicate clearly with project managers and clients, and help deliver high-
quality work in an organized and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in multiple areas
of landscape construction, including hardscape, drainage, irrigation, planting, grading, retaining
walls, concrete, pavers, lighting, and complete landscape renovations.

Position Overview
The Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for leading a field crew and managing the
day-to-day construction of residential landscape projects. This position requires strong field experience, leadership ability, organization, and communication. The foreman will work closely with ownership, project managers, designers,
estimators, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to help ensure projects are completed correctly,
efficiently, safely, and according to the approved scope.
The foreman should be comfortable reading plans, laying out work, managing crew members,
coordinating materials and equipment, solving field issues, and maintaining a clean and
professional job site.

Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise a landscape construction crew on residential job sites
• Review plans, project scopes, drawings, layouts, and construction details
• Lay out work in the field and ensure the crew understands the daily goals
• Coordinate daily tasks, crew responsibilities, materials, tools, and equipment
• Perform and oversee landscape construction work, including hardscape, drainage,
irrigation, planting, grading, retaining walls, concrete, pavers, lighting, demolition, and
site preparation
• Maintain quality control and ensure work is completed according to company standards
• Communicate with project managers, ownership, designers, and estimators regarding
project progress, questions, and field conditions
• Identify potential issues, conflicts, or scope gaps and communicate them before they
become larger problems
• Coordinate with vendors, delivery drivers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades as
needed
• Track labor, materials, equipment usage, and job progress
• Ensure materials are ordered, received, staged, and used efficiently
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Enforce safe work practices and proper use of tools and equipment
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and represent the company well on job
sites
• Help train and develop crew members
• Maintain tools, trucks, trailers, equipment, and company property
• Assist with site measurements, field verification, and project planning as needed
Qualifications
• Experience as a landscape construction foreman, lead installer, crew leader, or similar
field leadership role
• Strong hands-on experience in residential landscape construction
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Ability to read plans, measurements, layouts, and construction details
• Ability to lead, organize, and motivate a crew
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, tools, equipment, and sequencing
• Experience with hardscape, pavers, concrete, drainage, irrigation, planting, grading,
retaining walls, lighting, demolition, and general site work
• Strong communication skills with crew members, project managers, clients, vendors, and
subcontractors
• Ability to solve problems in the field and make practical construction decisions
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep projects moving efficiently
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
• Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, compactors, saws, lasers, skid steers, mini
excavators, and other landscape construction equipment as needed
• Ability to perform physical work, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in various
weather conditions
Preferred Experience
• 5+ years of landscape construction experience
• 2+ years in a foreman, lead installer, or crew leadership role
• Experience with high-end residential landscape construction
• Knowledge of Bay Area construction conditions, suppliers, materials, and local job site
challenges
• Experience with paver installation, concrete forming, drainage systems, irrigation
systems, retaining walls, grading, planting, and lighting
• Experience operating compact equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers,
compactors, and loaders
• Experience coordinating with designers, project managers, subcontractors, and
homeowners
