We are looking for a Tile Helper with a minimum of 1 year experience to work for a well-established tile contractor in the residential/commercial industries.
Wage paid up to $30/hour and wage is determined on past experience, skill, quality of work. Raises are based on performance.
As a helper with experience, we expect you to know the basics, be able to prepare grout, and assist the tile setter.
There is an expectation that you have the required tools though we have some tools for use, if necessary.
Knowledge of and able to prep & cut standard tiles, cut mosaic tiles or shapes. Attention to details and precise measuring a must.
Knowledge of using power or hand tools to cut and shape tiles to ensure they fit around obstacles, etc.
Clean as you go & always leaving jobsite clean.
Knowledge of Schluter Systems and able to prepare various surfaces for tiling by using waterproofing materials a plus.
Must be in good physical condition with no limits on bending, stooping, walking, standing, and ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or more.
You must understand English & communicate effectively, have a positive attitude, helpful, & dependable.
We expect reliability and arrival at each job site on time.
Must have US Work Authorization. Must have a valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout the SF Bay Area for work.
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift with breaks plus 30 minute lunch.
Overall Benefits: Weekly Paycheck, Holiday Pay, Sick Pay, Vacation Pay, Bridge Tolls reimbursed.
