We are looking for an enthusiastic Fine Gardener to join our maintenance gardening team in the East Bay. The position will be 2-3 days a week to start, with potential for more hours in the future.
Requirements:
-Experience working with/caring for plants
-Own vehicle (truck or hatchback preferred)
-Smartphone
-Valid California Drivers License
-Fluent English speaker - knowledge of Spanish a plus
-Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
-Knowledge of landscape and native plants a plus
Example of Typical Tasks:
-Tending perennial gardens
-Seasonal pruning
-Perennial, tree, and shrub planting
-Planting & maintaining containers
-Unloading, transporting, and spreading mulch
-Troubleshooting drip-irrigation issues
-Talking with clients about garden needs

Please note: This position requires extensive physical work, such as crouching, kneeling, moving, walking, and carrying plant material & heavy items (at least 40lbs). Must be in good physical condition.
Paid bi-weekly as a W2 employee with valid SSN. Sick time and 401k after 6 months.
