We are looking for a part-time fabrication assistant to join our passionate team of creatives at Artworks Foundry. Ideal candidate is a highly driven team player with a desire to work with artists and art enthusiasts.
Fabrication Assistant
• We use the lost wax process of casting to produce bronze sculptures for artists. Our sculptures range from tabletop to monumental size. To see a 6-minute overview of the process do a search on YouTube - “National Sculpture Society lost wax casting process”.
Job Description & Requirements:
• Assisting lead fabricator with the assembly of large-scale bronze sculptures
• Experience with hand tools in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred. The assembly process requires the use of angle grinders, die grinders, tig welder, plasma cutter, pneumatic jacks, etc.
• Dependable, hardworking, self-motivated, and the ability to be a team player to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Able to communicate and work well with coworkers and be able to take direction from supervisors in a positive manner.
• Able to identify and resolve problems in a professional manner.
• Ability to work in an artistic environment and support artists needs.
• Ability to read work order cards and complete the work necessary.
• Take pride in their workmanship.
• Expected hours: 30+ hours per week.
• Part-time, potential to move to full-time.
