Position: Senior Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer

Responsibilities & Duties
Your primary responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to, editing videos and creating motion graphics. You will be responsible for taking a project from raw clips to final delivery. You should be able to confidently sort through bins of footage and quickly identify the best sound bites. You should be able to independently build effective stories from interview footage and identify appropriate b-roll.

You will also be responsible for color correcting and grading footage to create consistent looks that support a project's tone and mood.

Equally important is your ability to design and create supporting motion graphics for videos. You should have a strong understanding of 2D animation, typography and motion tracking within After Effects. You should be a whiz at bringing charts and graphs to life and get excited about telling the story of an app or product.

Secondary responsibilities include contributing to the maintenance and organization of the Company's digital asset management system.

This means filling in where needed on projects, learning new skills and trades as time allows and ensuring the clients needs are met. The nature of production and the business of the Company requires, at times, flexibility of schedules and availability for occasional travel.

Specific Skills and Knowledge
  • Expert video editor. You should be able to take a bin of raw media and create an engaging story from it.
  • Advanced color correction. Understand the process of grading and correcting footage.
  • Motion graphics ninja. Have a solid design eye and know how to bring things to life.
  • Expert story teller with a passion for engaging and inspiring audiences.
  • Advanced skills in Premiere, After Effects and Resolve a must.
  • Working understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required.
  • Basic understanding of cinema cameras, composition, lighting and audio for film.
