This mini iPad is first generation bought right after release of the mini iPad. Although, new releases stopped being able to be updated, it is great for downloading: books, music, pictures, games, Interned searches and emails, taking pictures/videos.

It is both wifi and cellular enabled, so you could add a data plan on to your cell account (typically $10.month) and do everything on it without a date connection.
