I'm looking for someone to take over my lease of the "Downtown" model 1Bed/1Bath unit in the Atlas apartment building in downtown Oakland, at 14th and Webster. My unit is on 8th (top) floor of the podium facing the street, so there's no noise from neighbors above you, great diffuse northeastern light and not as much street noise as the lower levels. I have really enjoyed my time here but have decided to move in with my partner and am ready to give up my solo apartment.
I am looking for someone to take over before Feb 1, if possible, but Mar 1 works also. I can be flexible with the timing. Breaking a lease is wildly expensive, so I’m willing to pay whoever takes over a free month’s rent, once they get approved! When the lease expires in the beginning of September, you can sign a new lease to extend the terms.
The building is truly one of a kind as far as downtown luxury apartment buildings go because I looked at *a lot* before deciding on this one. It's the most *affordable* luxury building I've seen and is quite a bit nicer than many others I've seen. A building with a pool is also hard to find! It has an incredible gym and lounge working area on the top floor looking over the whole Bay Area. There's also pool tables and lots of co-working spaces on the 4th floor where I've spent many, many hours peacefully working on desks, tables, comfy couches and private conference rooms.
If you rent through the leasing office today, you get 1 free month off a $2,736 monthly rent for a 16 month lease, which totals $2575/mo. My deal from the summer (which you can't get anymore) totals $2350/mo--considerably cheaper than if you rent through the leasing office.
Here are the details on the unit from the Atlas website:
This one-bedroom, one-bathroom puts square footage where it counts with a roomy bathroom and extra closet space. The big, sunny windows define this Downtown Oakland spot near BART with chic design details that balance convenience and style.
- Ceiling heights from 9 feet

Parking is available through the building for $200+/mo, but I've just parked in the lot behind the building myself so I've never dealt with the building parking personally, but you can get it.
Pets are also allowed in the building, with a pet application and additional monthly fee. There's a doggie relief area on the 3rd floor.
Let me know if you're interested in touring the unit and we can coordinate a time!
