Your Space:
- Spacious room (120 sq ft) with lots of natural sunlight.
- You will share a bathroom with one roommate (Iris).
- Rent: $1,250/month (includes utilities!)
- Furnished or unfurnished option.
- We can give a video tour of the entire apartment upon request.
Apartment:
- Our apartment is located in South Berkeley close to the border with Oakland and Emeryville. We are a short walk away from the Ashby BART station, Berkeley Bowl, and San Pablo Park, and about 1.5 miles from the nearest Trader Joe’s.
- It is a safe neighborhood with a front gate for our HOA, which consists of two buildings with two units each (four units total). We are the back unit with the most privacy.
- The interior of our apartment is newly remodeled with a full kitchen (oven and gas stovetop), in-unit laundry washer and dryer, dishwasher, plus appliances that we have brought (microwave, coffee maker, etc.)
- We have an outdoor deck, garden, fruit trees, and bike rack (within our gates).
- There is plenty of street parking.
*Note: the furniture displayed in the pictures of the common spaces is from the previous tenants. The apartment is fully furnished with our own furniture.
Housemates:
- We all met in college at Colgate University on the East Coast.
- Ella - (26, F) working in the environmental field in SF. She is from Philadelphia and likes running, gardening, and painting.
- Iris (27, F) working as a Montessori teacher in Berkeley. She is from Jackson Hole (WY) and likes camping, cooking, and skiing.
- Scott (29, M) working as an energy engineer in Emeryville. He is from New Zealand and likes cycling, spikeball, and tennis.
More info about our apartment dynamic:
- We are a social household and like hanging out together and inviting friends over, but we also enjoy our personal time too.
- We try to do weekly “family” dinners where we take turns cooking, we like going to trivia nights, going out in SF, playing recreational sports, and just hanging out in the apartment (it's always an open invite, but if your schedule doesn’t allow it, or you’re not that into it, all good).
- We like to keep the apartment relatively clean but don’t worry too much about it being sparkling all the time :)
