Please note that starting in the year 2027, gas water heaters will no longer be available for installation in the Bay Area due to new regulations. If your current water heater is approaching the end of its lifespan, it may be wise to consider replacing it with a new gas model now. Existing gas water heaters will still be permitted for use until the end of their service life. Therefore, I recommend installing the most reliable water heaters available.
