Job Overview:
We are seeking a full-time, entry to intermediate level (0-3 years) Metals Chemist for a Monday through Friday shift.
Instrumentation used includes ICP-MS, ICP-OES, CVAA, CVAF, and GFAA.
All new staff is fully trained by our in-house experts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Analyst’s primary duties are preparing standards, calibrations, analysis of samples, and data review.
Must learn different software types that are integral to instrument control, data flow, and data storage (LIMS).
Must have the aptitude to learn EPA, ASTM, and other analytical and sample handling protocols from various agencies.
Basic and advanced troubleshooting skills will be acquired through training and experience.
Qualifications:
A four-year college degree in Chemistry or another science.
Candidate must be comfortable working in a laboratory and should have basic lab skills such as weighing, pipetting, and diluting.
Great attitude and aptitude for learning. Teamwork-driven personality with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as directed by the department lead.
Attention to detail is crucial in minimizing errors and maintaining workplace safety.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Multi-tasking is essential as our lab tends to be very busy.
Clear and concise communication with managers and co-workers.
Good mechanical & troubleshooting skills and familiarity with LIMS are preferred but not required.
