Our company is a leader in developing innovative Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating technologies, in addition to other coating approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Run production coating equipment.
- Setup and run experiments under the direction of senior staff.
- Collect and record data from experiments.
- Operate vacuum deposition equipment and other analytical equipment.
- Work with other scientists and staff to develop innovative coatings using physical vapor deposition (PVD) methods and chemical vapor deposition.
- Assemble and run vacuum coating equipment under direction of senior staff.
- Assist with system setup and maintenance.
- Responsible for day-to-day operation of multiple coating systems.
- Perform equipment purchasing and equipment assembly.
- Assist in preparing written reports as well as oral presentations to various government agencies, commercial customers and company management.
Qualifications:
- AA degree or High School Diploma with 3+ years work experience in a lab environment or thin film coating production environment.
- 2+ years work experience in thin film coatings is desirable.
- Ability to operate vacuum deposition equipment.
- Must be able to keep good lab notes and record experimental results.
- Must have good analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is a plus
- Experience with mechanical drafting on a PC such as AutoCad and SolidWorks is desirable
