Similar in size but much lighter than a Casita, or a Scamp.
Not counting water its about 1400-1500 pounds.
I purchased in May 2023 and spent several months restoring it before traveling for 6 weeks across the Pacific Northwest in it full time.
CAN BE SEEN IN AMERICAN CANYON - Listed in Oakland for the better visibility.
The prior owners:
• Put in a new door
• Reinforced the pop-up roof with some struts and more fiberglass
• Put in new flooring
I gutted everything else:
• Starting with repainting the interior with pure white marine grade paint.
• Rebuilt the bed frame using Ikea Skorva metal beams to save weight.
• You can still flip up the aft section for seating for 2
• Put in a new kitchen
• Custom built an interior propane shower setup.
• Added a simple cabinet on the shower side.
• Redesigned and rebuilt how to pop the top.
• Now pops up to over 6ft 7in high and much more safely.
• New fabric for the pop top.
• Removed the windows, cleaned them and re-waterproofed them.
• Added interior trim and curtains as well
• Added Awning Rails on both sides.
• Repainted exterior yellow, not a great job but it does clean things up a bit
• New LED brake and turn light strip mounted on rear bumper.
• Added a new #2500 axle and new tires (~1500 miles now) in 2024.
• New front jack, 35 gallon water tank, and so much more.
Here is a list of what’s been done:
Kitchen Setup: Over $1500 invested
• Stainless Steel Countertop
• Dometic™ Cramer 2BR-1066049 2-Burner RV Propane Cooktop w/ Glass Lid
• Dometic™ SMEV VA7306US Round Sink w/ Glass Lid and AC542 Faucet
• 36 gallon water tank
• Electric water pump for sink
• YETI Roadie 48 Wheeled Cooler
• 5 pound propane tank will keep you cooking for weeks
• Storage bin for pots and pans, Bin for foodstuffs, Hose lines for getting water to the sink.
Shower Setup: Over $500 invested
• CampLux tankless water heater
• Independent 20 pound Propane tank
• Shower Pan
• Waterproof interior panels
Bed is built on sturdy but lightweight frame
• 6x SKORVA Center Support Beams
• Window trim, curtains, etc.
NEW AXLE & TIRES: Over $1000 invested
• Upgraded the axle.
• New tires with probably 1500 miles on them
Why sell it?
• It was an experiment to see if I could vanlife and work from home 100% of the time. It’s a bit too small for that.
•. I now have a 4x4 with an AT Overland topper, so this is redundant for me.
Now the bad:
• Driver side behind the wheel well has cracked fiberglass that I’ve reinforced with ¾ exterior plywood and 4 large molly bolts.
• Paint job is good from 20 feet away, but done by an amateur (me). Bright Yellow.
• There is no toilet or gray water. The sink drains to the ground or a separate catch tank. The shower drains to the ground
• No interior lights so far.
• Only 1 flip down stabilizer jack on the rear.
• Stove igniter doesn’t light, and the screws holding the glass top are missing.
• The pop top wrap is not mosquito proof, almost but not quite.
Am I open to trades? Possibly, but not jewelry, I already have the Truck that I want, no interest in anything that I'd have to pay to store.
A bathroom remodel in my condo? Maybe.
Serious 4x4 improvements to my truck? Partial trade for your stuff maybe.
Lowball offers?
Start at $6700...
I'll drop $300 if I keep the cooler.
I'll drop another $400 if I keep the shower and large Propane tank.
But no, you won't get this for $3500 or $4000. The basic shell goes for $5000 these days with a ready to fail axle, worn out tires, gross cabinets, and a pop-top that wants to take your fingers off.
If you bring cash I am happy to tow it to your home in the bay area.
