We are looking for someone to be the 4th housemate for our spot in the beautiful and convenient Bushrod neighborhood ASAP
We are a group of guys in our early 30’s looking for someone who is CHILL,QUIET, AND CLEAN to add to our already fun, unique, and friendly household dynamic. Everyone in this home has their own life inside and outside of this house and all are friends at this point who respect each others space and lives. We are looking for someone who will work well within this dynamic and be an easy person to communicate and live with. All have a wide array of interests such as nature, music, athletics, tattoos, art, anime, film, gaming, world affairs, Bay Area activities, but we still all love to go out and party, drink, go out when we can (we just dont bring that shit back home so everyone can sleep who isn’t getting down).
We are currently only considering those who are 25+ and are able to be ok with 6month sublease with option to make it a full year sublease if 6 months goes well. 3 month trial period.
Ideal for local Students or UC Berkeley faculty as we are a 8 minute bike ride to campus. Also ideal for anyone who is looking for a chill quiet safe spot to chill and live in peace close to more things than you could imagine.
Right next to Rockridge bart, a mile or so from downtown Berkeley, and in a relaxed family friendly area. Straight up next to everything and very safe!
We have a large front yard to relax in, with a garden and many many plants/flowers, that is built and cared for by our master tenant. As well as a backyard that has room for any projects you would like to work on. Spacious living room.
Our neighbors are very cool and get along with us well.
Rent is $1100 per month. Need first and last months rent plus 600 cleaning deposit $2800-
Rent includes- WIFI (water and pge are seperate)
Household amenities for your usage. Fridge space, cabinet space, stovetop and oven, 2 full baths and showers, and on-site washer dryer.
Your room is spacious with a closet. It’s on the second floor so you’ll have shared balcony overlooking the front yard and beautiful neighborhood.
Responsibilities and rules
- Everyone takes turns cleaning entire house and bathrooms once a month (a person a week). We all take our peace and space very important and cleanliness is part of that.
No pets or animals of any kind. landlord is not ok with this but we as a home love dogs visits and times where we can share space with animals
Very very 420 and plant medicine friendly, smoking weed in your room is allowed,

Older home so noise travels easily. House rule is that what you do in your room is your business until it leaks over. so don’t let that effect anyone outside of your room. This includes noise, messes, and smells. Thin walls and floor mean those who listen to loud tv or speakers with a lot of bass would have to adjust
We all have odd hours and need all the rest we can get, so this must be respected for all of our mental health and work
No dirty dishes left in the sink. clean after yourself to prevent flies
Back room is an art studio and front garden are both ran by housemate who has lived here longest uses both exclusively. Do not touch anything in the back room, and always ask about front yard. But definitely do not touch any plants unless you ask prior. A lot of work, time, and care go into all these areas and after a decade would be very difficult and expensive to replace or resolve. Must be respectful of others things and space within home.
