Come be our fourth housemate, at our beautiful Circus Loft in East Oakland, for $980 plus utilities. Live with only three other roommates in a spacious, four bedroom, three story loft, with tons of space for creating art!
Common Area perks - Aerial rigging points (also great for advance partner acro), a 470 sq ft dedicated movement space outfitted with mirrors, a large open kitchen and dinning area for hosting dinners and cooking delicious meals, a Zendo chill space with tons of plants and natural light wonderful for meditation, reading, and hosting friends, two sets of Sonos speakers, a huge projector for movie nights, a second couch/living room area downstairs, and a cute bathroom with a larger than normal bathtub for those evenings you want to relax.
If this post is live, the room is still available. Long term renters are welcome to paint!
There's a parking lot on an avenue off the main road you are welcome to use, it is not gated.
The room - Lovely, top floor, loft room, with a large closet, tall ceilings, and three theater curtains added for extra privacy. There are two big windows, and the room faces west which keeps it cool during summer and provides a gorgeous view of the sunset. It would make a great bedroom for someone who is not super sensitive to noise, or an epic art studio or maker space! (The last two pictures in the post are pictures of the room for rent as it is now with no furniture).
The other housemates; A is in her early 40s, works as a family and corporate entertainer, and enjoys traveling, reading, meditating, and building community. H is in his mid 20s is from Hawaii, he is a comedy juggler and travels a lot. At home he enjoys juggling, hiking, and working on projects. Sel is in his early 30s and works in mental health, he’s a visual artist who loves drawing and painting, playing chess, and going to live music shows. We all value open communication, empathy, keeping the common areas nice and clean, and keeping a fun vibe while respecting each other's need for personal space.
We are hoping to connect with someone who is excited to share this creative space, has a job or proof of income if they're an independent contractor, and enjoys connecting with the people they live with every now and then. We have an occasional house meeting (maybe twice a year) to discuss logistics, and share basic household supplies like TP and paper towels. Our home is more of a sanctuary than a party space. Every so often, we do like to host small dinners and gatherings with friends. We will consider a small (35 lbs or less), quiet dog, or a well trained cat.
