Historic landmark, Victorian mansion with 7,500 sq.ft. of amazing architecture. Massive, beautifully furnished common areas and your own private, fully furnished room(s) with a queen or king bed. There are 19 furnished bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 3 dining rooms, a huge living room, 2 kitchens, and multiple sets of washer/dryer units. Plus several outdoor seating areas spread around the property.
The Property
The house is surrounded by gardens with towering trees, edible fruit, and other exotic plants. There are several outdoor seating areas, and an extensive art collection within the home.
Parking
Limited on-site parking can be reserved for a fee. Street parking is easy, most likely right in front of the house.
The Neighborhood
Just a few blocks to great local fare including Xochi the Dog cafe, Champa Garden (Thai), and Philomena Pizza. There are many more great places within a mile. Several Supermarkets and pharmacies about a mile away.
For public transportation, there are 2 bus stops that are a 5min walk from the home that will take you directly to Lake Merritt BART station.
Pricing
We currently offer 2 month leases. The price shown is the average rate. We have a few small rooms that are less and a few larger rooms that are more. Feel free to ask for a smaller or larger room, with commensurate rates. Not all rooms are shown, and room options will be based on availability. Every room has at least a queen-size bed and a desk.
**Add $10/night for a 2nd person
-- Utilities, cleaning, etc - $250 per month. This includes PGE, water, waste removal, internet and weekly cleaning of all common areas. It also includes household items, such as toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, sponges, and garbage bags.
*Due at move-in:*
- Security deposit of one month rent (fully refundable contingent on adherence to lease terms and Civil Code Section 1950.5)
- $50 one-time cleaning fee.
*House Rules*
No smoking, vaping, candles, incense, or any other fire in the home
No pets
Clean up after yourself (dishes, laundry, remove your things from common areas, etc)
Share in the removal of trash. There is a schedule.
Respect your housemates and neighbors (of course, there are more specific rules that go into this)
Respect the planet, environment, and everyone's shared expenses - turn off lights when not in use
Quiet hours after 10pm weeknights, 11pm weekends
