We have a large, quiet, and secluded room opening up in our beautiful sun-drenched Piedmont home. Move-in is negotiable, but the room is available immediately.
THE ROOM: This room is large, bright, and serene. It's tucked into the back of the house with three large windows that get bright, even light all day. There are three bedrooms total in the house, with one housemate frequently out of town, so you'll mostly be sharing the space with one other person. You would share a bathroom.
THE HOUSE: The house is spacious, with a wood-burning fireplace, coved ceilings, and beautiful millwork. The common areas come fully furnished.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD: We're walking distance from all the action on Lakeshore and Grand but far enough that you won't have to deal with the noise, crime, and lack of parking. Nearby businesses include Trader Joes, Safeway, Ace Hardware, Arizmendi's bakery, Walden Pond Books, and a ton of little restaurants and boutiques. We're half a block from Piedmont Park, which is a forested oasis of eucalyptus trees and waterfalls filled with off-leash dogs that will run up to you and smile! The 29 and 33 bus lines stop near here, which take you to downtown Oakland. We are an easy drive to Berkeley, Emeryville, Walnut Creek, or points farther east; there's a casual carpool stop on the other side of the park, or you can bus to the BART to get to San Francisco. There is always parking on our street. (Always.)
This is a month-to-month lease with a minimum stay of three months. Rent is $1150 inclusive of utilities, which includes monthly maid service, reliable high speed internet, and full use of common areas. Sorry, no pets of any kind due to allergies--not even visiting pets. There is a dog park nearby for your fluffy visiting friends.
