The location: Ashby BART is 5 minutes away on foot and bus number 18 stops across the road. Berkeley Bowl and Telegraph Ave are a 10-minute walk away. UC Berkeley, Rockridge, Elmwood, and Temescal are 10 min away by bike.
The apartment: Second-floor 3-bed, 1-bath with plenty of storage, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and a kitchen bar. There is a laundry room (with coin-operated washer and dryer) in the building as well as a bike rack at the back. The building is quiet and well managed and maintenance requests have always been dealt with very quickly. Only on-street parking.
The room: Unfurnished, has a built-in closet, and gets abundant natural light. It faces the side of the building, away from the main street, hence it's very quiet.
Rent: $1,098 per month without utilities, which are split equally between the roommates (average is $50/person/month). The deposit is $1,300.
The roommates: Two young working professionals (1M, 1F). Mostly work remotely, though one uses a coworking space a few days per week. Outgoing and friendly yet independent, we're often out of the apartment a couple of weekends each month.
We are looking for young professionals or grad students/postdocs. No smoking.
