We are looking for a housemate to fill a soon-to-be-vacated room in our 4-bedroom, shared house. The house is generally pretty quiet, and is located within an easy walk to UC Berkeley, the Downtown Berkeley BART station, and the Saturday farmer's market. Each of the four housemates has his/her own (private) bedroom; the available room gets plenty of light with two large windows, and is furnished with a closet and dresser. The shared common areas include a large kitchen with two refrigerators, a living room, two bathrooms, and a sunny backyard, and includes a washing machine.

We are looking for a friendly, responsible, mature type (grad student or working person preferred) to move in by October 1 or earlier, and prefer someone who will stay at least a year. No smoking, no drugs, no pets.

I'd say we're a pretty laid-back household, friendly, if perhaps not that cohesive.

Rent is $609/month plus utilities, including internet.
