Private room available in a cozy 3 bedroom / 1 bathroom apartment in a West Berkeley duplex. Looking primarily for a long term renter, but may also consider short-term / sublet candidates for now. Room is available on or after January 1st.
The apartment has been occupied by two people, with an extra third room that is shared. So there will be one other person that the incoming tenant would live with, a young professional female in her 30s who works at a local school. She is kind, responsible, and considerate as a roommate, lives an active lifestyle, and would love to live with someone she connects well with.
NOTE: if there is interest in renting the extra room as your own personal space / office for a higher rent (instead of it being a shared space), that can also be discussed.
The apartment is furnished in the common areas but the room itself will come unfurnished. The room is the largest of the 3 rooms in the apartment and has a good sized closet. There is also a backyard with a firepit and vegetable bed. The unit has a large living room and kitchen, and comes with an in-unit washer and dryer (no coins required). The driveway is shared with the other tenant, and there is ample street parking as well.
Quiet and peaceful street, yet just blocks away from shops and cafe's along San Pablo near University Ave. This apartment is great for anyone looking for a place that feels like a "home" - in a quiet neighborhood with nearby parks. At the same time it's strolling distance to a wonderful Mexican grocery store called Mi Tierra, and great restaurants and cafe's along San Pablo Ave. It is also in close proximity to the freeway and North Berkeley Bart, and about a mile away from the UC Berkeley campus and downtown Berkeley (a 10 minute bus ride along University Avenue).
Regarding the utilities - water and garbage are covered by the landlord, and the tenants split Internet and PG&E between them.
I am the landlord and will be your first point of contact. Contact me if you think you might be interested, have any questions, or would like to see the unit and meet the current tenant. Please include a short description of yourself and any social media links in your response.
