Hi, I'm a young queer dude currently in community college, prepping for university. I am set up in my first apartment away from my home. I live in absolutely GORGEOUS, mostly furnished 2-bedroom place in a great location a few steps away from the more lively areas on Shattuck ave.
I have been mostly moved in since October, furnishing the place since my lease started. I am unable to cover the entire rent by myself and need to find a roommate to join me on the lease, expiring June 1st, with opportunity to extend it.
The apartment has a spacious kitchen (where you would have full ownership of a few cabinets for what you want) with a four-burner stove, steel sink, I've outfitted with a few appliances, in-unit washer and dryer, wifi setup, a living room with a TV, couch (coffee table pending), and a dining nook for potentially 3 people.
It's me and my two cats, Olive and Lucifer. Both fully grown, both non-mean, but skittish.
The bathroom is shared, I'm going to be doing some upgrades for storage inside there, but there's room for essentials, soaps/washes and towels.
I'm open to most types of people, save hard drug users and republicans. I would rather not live with a smoker (but if you can keep it outside, we won't have a problem). It's important to me that we will be able to solve conflict and respect one another and our lives. I'd prefer to live with another student, or someone who stays up later (I tend to be in bed by 12:30)
We will both be covering utilities (just Gas & Electricity), and you, the remainder of the rent, which you will be paying a lowered portion of, since the room I have left is less big than mine. Your room has wall-mounted hanging (which I believe can be taken away if you prefer), a street-facing window (3-4 ft high) of stained glass (impossible to see into).
I will be asking for a deposit from you, one month of your rental price, which will be given back when you leave, like standard.
If you are interested, please feel free to respond in messages or text/email me directly! I am canvasing anyone interested now, so I can choose someone who'll be a reliable roomie and who's likely to get along with me.
