Room has queen bed, desk, mirror, nightstands, built-in shelving; it is on the ground (grade level) floor of a 113 yr old Victorian that was picked up and moved in the 90's so the grade level is relatively new construction. The level shares the laundry room and bicycle storage and is pretty much a semi private entrance. The room is well heated and insulated but it is the coolest room in the house being on the ground floor and so it is perfect for those who prefer to sleep in a cooler room. The common rooms are one story up.
The house is set back off the street in a garden setting. Not very visible from the street. Quiet neighborhood yet close to campus, downtown. Campus is 15 minute bike ride or 25 min walk. Trader Joes, and both the Berkeley Bowls..and Monterey Market are all equidistant to the house with Trader Joes being on the way to and from campus.
The Common rooms are nice and welcome to use.. Large dining room table, piano in living room, kitchen well equipped.
Easy and safe inside bike storage at grade level, just wheel in; washer, dryer, (same level as bedroom), robust wifi.There are two whole bathrooms in the house.
Rooming mostly with Grad students, and me, a busy semi retired landscape designer who owns the house and lives as a fellow housemate. We share some meals sometimes otherwise busy schedules, good conversation, share ongoing household chores, help with gardening 3 or 4 times in the year, unless you love to garden as I do then please join in! For these garden work parties I usually make everyone lunch.The has a nice rhythm of solo and together time. . Altogether we would be a household of five. Am happy to set up a house tour.
