We are not just a house, but a home, looking for not just a roommate, but another person to join our community. We live independent lives, but are friendly, communicative, and community-oriented.
We are currently 3-4 adults, aged from early 30s to early 60s, one high school-aged teenager, and a cat, and we live in a big (2600 sqft, 3-story, 6 bedroom, 3 bath), Craftsman-style house with lots of common space (2 living rooms, TV den, eat-in kitchen, and dining room), large yards front and back with ample garden spaces, many fruit trees, and a couple chickens in the backyard.
We share groceries (and their costs) and occasionally share meals. We are omnivorous and partially organic. We aim to be environmentally responsible by reducing waste, composting, recycling, minimizing electricity use (we're largely solar powered) and use low-impact cleaning products.
We have house meetings once a month, and share chores (some reduce their chores by using a professional cleaning service for the light weekly cleaning of the common areas).
If this sounds good to you, we'd love to hear from you!
