Blue Heron Bikes in Berkeley has spent a decade working hard to grow the friendliest bicycle community in the East Bay. Our outfit is a high-quality, locally-owned, full-service organization that supports all modes of bicycle transportation. We ride everything, we ride everywhere, and we want to support anyone else that’s interested in the beauty of the bicycle: BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
If you ride bikes, then there’s at least one reason why we'd love to know you; but if you want to contribute to the wider bicycle world, then we'd love to hear from you about joining our team. We are urgently seeking skilled and friendly people that are interested in flexible, part-time hours at a premier cargo bike dealer.

Ideal candidate:
+ Has proven experience in a professional bike shop; servicing bikes and supporting sales.
+ Is passionate about helping fellow humans and acts with urgency in all pursuits.
+ Is confident in your skill, yet humble enough to take direction and seek input for the best solution.
+ Is a self-sufficient problem solver that knows how to ask for guidance.
+ Prioritizes transparency and healthy communication.
+ Facilitates a safe and helpful atmosphere for all humans.
+ Proficient in LightSpeed and Google Workspace.

Key Roles and Compensation:
* Support daily repair schedule (able to resolve 2-4 service tags per day).
* Build new bikes (electric mid-drive, front loaders, long-tails, pedal-power hybrids, touring, custom builds, etc.)
* Competitive hourly wage pursuant to experience and skill-level ($21-$25 starting).
* Potential to grow full-time for the right fit (medical benefits offered with salaried positions).
* Pro-rated Holiday pay and time-off proportional to weekly hours.

Next steps:
1. Reply with Resume and let us know how soon you can start and how many hours per week.
2. Tell us about your first bike, and your most recent ride ;{)>
3. Come by and introduce yourself, ask for Jordan or for Rob.

Ride on! Stay Safe!
