Rebuilt 1965 396 425hp 4 bolt short block. 30 over (no sleeves, etc), with new forged pistons and correct forged crank. This is the rare 3855962 block, that was a '65 only production. C165 date code (March 65) Correct for 1965 corvette and Z16 chevelle. Less than 4000 engines were made, and this one has an early date code correct for both Z16 chevelle and the corvette. Block has been decked as part of rebuild (bought it that way four years back) so don't have original engine stamp codes to share. Included is a set of rebuildable 3856208 matching heads, date code E145 (May 65). If you are reading this ad, you know how rare this engine and head combo is.
