This is a 1938-1951 Packard three-speed transmission with overdrive. I bought it at a swap meet around 50 years ago to use the overdrive in my 39 Packard, but never got to it. It's good for parts or rebuild. The overdrive has markings on the side R9-1 and under it there's a 2. The transmission has 4.16-395281 on the side of it. I've read and have been told it should work with 1938-1951.
