I understand the need to feel safe and secure about your home and/or your furry family members. while away. I have lived with and cared for dogs, cats, reptiles, bunnies and birds. My schedule is fairly flexible so I'm able to be away from home as needed and check in on pets if necessary, during the day.
I love animals, love people, and love work that involves filling someone's need. Day to day life for me includes a variety of things such as bodywork at a spa in Oakland, aikido training at aikido of Berkeley or belly dance practice, flow arts, yoga and plant based nutritional coaching. My stage name is Lava Lotus and I do professional fire dance shows at events. I have experience with teaching children and working with kids with special needs as well as I have a bachelor of arts in psychology. I was born and raised in the south bay area, Los Gatos where my parents still live. I have had a live scan/background check, and can provide many character references.
I'm looking for overnights or daily dog walk clients. For overnights, I ask $60/night. Daytime 1/2 hour pet visits/walks for up to 2 animals (within 15 minutes of north Berkeley) are $20. Pet visits 15-20 minutes away are $25. Pet visits 20-30 minutes away are $30. For locations over a half hour away from where I live in North Berkeley, those rates become $70 for overnights, and $35 for additional visits/walks attached to overnights.
After the first 2 pets, each additional pet for daytime visits is $2 additional (no extra charges on overnights).
24/7 care, aside from short trips for me to run errands or walk other dogs, is $100 per 24 hour period.
I'll be happy to come meet you (and your fur babies) if you'd like an in-person interview, and I can provide references as requested (I just don't put their names and numbers on Craigslist).
Pandemic note: I have consistently worn masks and social distanced since the beginning of this pandemic.
