Construction Administrator (Part-Time) – Oakland, CA
CONSTRUCTION AND STEEL FABRICATION COMPANY is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to join our Oakland office on a part-time basis.
This position requires prior experience working in a construction office. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
-Manage daily construction office operations.
-Coordinate communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
-Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
-Schedule site visits, inspections, meetings, and subcontractors.
-Maintain project files and assist with contract administration.
-Support OSHA compliance by maintaining safety documentation and training records.
- Prepare correspondence, proposals, and other construction-related documents.
-Track permits, project schedules, and material deliveries.
-Perform general administrative duties to support ongoing construction projects.
Qualifications
-Minimum 2 years of experience as a Construction Administrator or Construction Office Administrator.
-Strong understanding of construction documentation and office procedures.
-Experience handling RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and project coordination.
-Familiarity with OSHA documentation and construction safety requirements.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
-Experience with construction management software is a plus.
Schedule
-Part-Time
-Approximately 20–30 hours per week
-Oakland office (in-person)
Compensation
-$30–$40 per hour, depending on experience.
