Own complex millwork projects. Make real decisions. Share in the upside.
Commercial Casework Inc. (CCI) is a 50-year leader in high end architectural millwork and custom cabinetry. We deliver complex interior projects from fast-turn T&M work to full-scale campuses for some of the most demanding clients in the Bay Area and beyond.
We are 100% employee-owned (ESOP) and growing. We’re looking for a Project Manager (PM) who wants full ownership, clear authority, and long-term upside.
Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers work as dedicated teams with clear roles, shared standards, and mutual accountability. APMs are trained to think like PMs, and PMs are expected to lead, not micromanage. This structure allows us to deliver complex millwork projects efficiently while developing long-term careers internally.
What you’ll do -
As an PM at CCI, you will own millwork projects from award through closeout. You are the single point of contact for the client and GC, while coordinating with internal departments (Engineering, Purchasing, and Field teams) to deliver high quality work on schedule and on budget. This is a hands-on role with real accountability and decision-making authority.
You will:
• Be responsible for full project lifecycle ownership
o award → submittals and shops → procurement → fabrication → delivery and install → punch and closeout.
• Lead submittals, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and scope clarifications.
• Manage budgets, cost exposure, change orders, and monthly billings.
• Maintain project schedules and 2–4-week look ahead plans.
• Coordinate site logistics, protection plans, and install readiness.
• Resolve issues quickly with clear, single-voice communication.
• Enforce AWI/WI quality standards from mockup through final acceptance.
Who This Role Is For -
This role is a strong fit if you:
• Have 3+ years managing architectural millwork or specialty interior trade projects.
• Have personally owned submittals, RFIs, COs, billing, and install coordination.
• Are fluent in Bluebeam, comfortable in Procore (or similar), and solid in Excel.
• Read drawings confidently and collaborate effectively with architects and engineers.
• Care deeply about craftsmanship, finish quality, and details.
• Communicate calmly and clearly with clients, even under pressure.
Millwork experience is strongly preferred. Candidates without hands-on construction PM experience will not be considered.
What We Offer -
• Base salary: $100K to $120K (DOE)
• Sign-on Bonus
• Quarterly bonus: 50% of company operating income goes into the bonus pool
o Typical annual payouts: $15,000–$25,000+ (no cap)
• Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP): 10% company contribution
• 401K & Roth 401K with company match
• 100% employer paid benefits (medical, dental, and vision)
• 15-25 days PTO (depending on years of service)
• 10 paid holidays
• Training reimbursement
• Gym stipend
• Cell phone allowance
• Auto allowance
Why CCI -
• We are employee-owned and not private equity, nor corporate.
• We have an open book management style with real financial transparency.
• We are a union shop built on strong field partnerships.
• We have large, complex projects without big GC bureaucracy.
• We have long term career stability and advancement.
How to Apply -
Submit your resume with a brief note describing the types of projects you’ve owned and why architectural millwork interests you. Candidates who include this will be prioritized.
