Noisy outsider artschool post punk band The Laytcomers are seeking a drummer to join them in making some noise, and a few records. We're longtime veterans of the Bay Area live circuit with influences ranging from Joy Division to Nick Cave as well as the sounds from the 80s Downtown NY No Wave scene to New Zealand's Flying Nun records. Democratic and creativity-focused, we seek a dedicated drummer who's not afraid to voice their thoughts and be an active participant in the creative process.

Our practice space is located in Union City (walking distance from Bart) in our guitarist's home studio which already has a full kit - we just ask you bring your own breakables. We tend to practice at least once a week on the weekend but more availability would be preferred. Most of our current members are multi instrumentalists which means we sometimes play musical chairs onstage for some variety - proficiency on other instruments (including singing!) is preferred but by no means required.
