A digital looper is actually your best friend as a CircleSong facilitator & vocal improvisor.
Add, modify, change, or even delete a loop just as you could when leading a circle. But unlike
in a circle, this tool will enable you to listen back to any part you create exactly as you sang it,
refine it, & feel the excitement of layering in all of your parts exactly how you hear it.
There are so many ways that a looper will develop your improvising & one-the-spot pieces thru:
* pre-hearing the fundamental aspects of a piece (tempo, feel, style, etc.)
* creating independent entrances
* clarifying your rhythm
* developing contrast between parts (& within a part)
* exploring different ranges of your voice
* noticing your habitual tendencies (especially when you set up a piece)
* practicing good mic technique
Getting one-on-one coaching with this powerful tool will also help you generate songs faster
& use a wider range of approaches, expand your arranging skills, and enable you to join or
move up to a better ensemble.
