Jazz (Amateur Jam) - Looking for Bass & Melody Players (Alameda)

Looking for a few more people to play in our weekly Amateur jazz jam..
- Bass Player (Main reason for this post. current bass player is often busy, so would like to find a 2nd who may live be closer making it easier to make it each week.)
- Other melody players like horns and wind instruments

We Are:
Sax (alto) / Guitar and Uke /
Piano / Drums

Time we usually play: (once a week)
Fridays 6:30-9
sometimes Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm or 6-8pm

Place
In the back room or backyard, or front yard of my house:
Outside actually started during Covid. Now we try and play out there as much as possible because it is so nice. But if you're hesitant because, "oh no an informal gig each week", don't worry currently we're playing in my back room and backyard because of the hot sun. If you want to try this out you won't have an audience other than my kids until they go to bed..

Vibe / Way We Play
Run the head then whoever wants to solo can take a solo, then close with the head again…
We are not super good,(None of us have a jazz background) but it can't be all that bad; I've had more than one neighbor express appreciation for the "pleasant music" they hear each week. However, it has started to get a little repetitive, so I've scrapped the old song list and we are now working on some new tunes.. I started this to learn piano better. I used to play bass in several pop/rock bands since high school in the 90s, but never learned to play the piano...

Example Of Songs We Play
Old tunes we can't help but play sometimes...
Softly as in a morning sunrise
Black Orpheus
All of Me
Mr PC
Summertime
Stolen Moments
Pfrancing
Black Orpheus
Moanin

New'ish tunes
Emily
Equinox
Caravan
Just Friends
So what
Back in the chicken shack
Beautiful Love
Driftin

And we're open to whatever anyone wants to play or try to play… and not just jazz tunes..

Thanks for your interest,
Adam (Piano)
