Fabulous Ebony Gibson Dove from 1995! Wow. Amazing sound, stunning feel, breathtaking beauty. The goods/greats: really great sounding, comfortable classic Gibson C shape neck with 1 11/16 nut. Gorgeous piano black gloss (ebony) finish. Mustache bridge with MOP 2 Dove inlay. The pick guard is perfect with beautiful MOP Dove inlay with leaves, trees and flowers detailing. Gold Kluson style tuners. Gibson hard shell case is not original but minty. One latch is a little dodgy but otherwise like new. The 90553017 serial number dates to 1995 in the heart of the "Good Wood" and Ren Fergeson era. IYKYK I can't say enough about how it sounds and feels when playing. The repairs: top crack from bridge to binding was repaired when I got it but wasn't entirely stable so I just had it re-repaired, reinforced and set up with new D'Addario 11's by "The Amazing Nick" formerly of Norman's Rare Guitars in Los Angeles. There's no one better. There's also a small repaired bite on the headstock but is purely cosmetic and only visible when you look for it. (See picture). None of the repairs affect the playing sound in anyway. I'm only in the Bay Area a short time then it's back to LA so avoid Reverb and EBay taxes and shipping fees. Discounted to acknowledge the top repair but truly, this picker is badass. Johnny Cash ain't got nothing on this sweat-heart. So why sell it? Because I just bought 1960's Dove that's going to need some of a Nick's magic and that pushes this black beauty to the bench. Figured why not sell in NorCal since I'm here.
